Offline | older and newer MCS Sorry as a fairly newbie and i realises 0 - 60's aren't the b-end of everything! But is a pre gearing change MCS, i'm not sure when it was, was it 2004 when the gearing changed? What are the comparison 0-60's to the newer one's? Is A newer JCW quicker on paper than an older one? I did see a new one in a road test as 6.3, but I would imagine that would have to be perfect conditions? 30 -50 and 50-70 are probably more relevant. Also is a post gearing change JCW producing more than 210, on paper of course, for all those cynics? Mine final post, surely when MCS goes Turbo, there is less oppotunity to tweek? Or I am being totally ignorant? Polite answers only please. ![]() |

Offline | I think the MCS pre05 was 0.2 of a second 'slower.' Not sure about the works kiited MCS. The new car will definately be (more) tweakable, with turbo manufacturers far more abundant than supercharger ones. |

Offline | The changes took place July '04 and there was more than just a gear ratio revision, I'd get a later ('05 model year onwards) S if I was shopping for a second hand one, no two ways about it. |
