Spring Rates - Mini Cooper S

Hi all

I just ordered a set of 18" JCW wheels for my 2006 MCS. I want to drop the ride height slightly and was thinking either Eibach or H&R springs.

Does anyone know the spring rate for the standard cooper s....just want to make sure i dont choose a spring that will give too hard a ride...

thanks

I found this a few days ago. http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...ad.php?t=39371

I'm also thinking of lowering the car but only up to 1" I am thinking about getting the H-Sport springs but on paper the initial spring rate looks a little low to me. Anyone got H-Sport springs? Any good or bad comments?

The M7 springs are considered to be less harsh than stock with a 1"+ drop. The JCW springs will give you a 10mm drop and I don't they're really any more harsh than stock. About all else will have you avoiding every crack in the road and also make you wish you had earplugs for when you hit bigger road surface abnormalities. Thanks to my Koni FSDs, I sure don't miss the LOUD bangs over road patches, RR tracks, etc. Handling is amazingly improved as well.
