This would appear to be the right thread to ask this question in, rather than starting a new one, so...

Is anyone upset/annoyed/worse that Flame Spoke Alloys are one of the two available factory-fit 17" alloys on the next Cooper and Cooper S?

The other choice is a sort of S-Spoke looking attempt!

Personally think they are the only nice looking alloys in the options list, don't like any of the others

I agree but it is also a shame about them becoming available as a standard - although it will make it easier to pick up a spare wheels perhaps in case of any kerbing incidents etc....

Does anybody know how these wheels compare to the S Spokes weight wise?

Checkmate wing decals

Anybody having issues with the decals on the wings getting water in the edge of them or worse beginning to peel?

When I was looking to buy mine nearly all the ones I saw had this issue on at least one side. My friend got hers replaced before picking the car up. Mine have just got about 2mm in places. The dealer says this issue is covered by warrany and has ordered some in for me.

Checkmate Insurance question...

Ok - so my number plate looks up on the insurers databases as a checkmate...which it is. Trouble is it has a works kit fitted. Most insurance companies list checkmates and Cooper S Works as separate cars....trouble is none of them seem to list a checkmate works. I am currently insured as a Cooper S Works as I'm sure that is the most honest solution. It did get me thinking though as to what they would actually replace it with if the worst happened and it has to be replaced. I did try to talk to one about the changes made over the checkmate but it was just a waste of time. Most compaines also list Cooper S and then Cooper S chilli bit not works and works chilli...same issue.

What are other checkmate works drivers doing?

PS. found Car Insurance, Cheap Car Insurance, Travel Insurance Quotes Online UK very cheap

Hi. I have just bought my Checkmate - absolutely love it!
But mine does'nt have the bonnet scoop and stripes in silver.
Anyone know whats the best way of getting this done and where to go as I think they look great with the bonnet done

I believe the stripes are £120'ish plus fitting. The Scoop has to be painted to match. All this is a no cost option when new but works out quite expensive as a retrofit.

Anyone know what the colour code is for the Checkmate silver?

I know the blue is Space Blue Metallic (A49 M) but there is no mention on the car what actual colour the silver is

(So I can get my scoop sprayed)
