My dealer called me this afternoon, telling me many things about the '03's. The biggest news was the minimal price increase ($125). I didn't catch all of the changes, but she mentioned availability of black, interior changes (new color option?), second keyless entry. "Entertainment" changes included an auxiliary input on stereo for other music sources like an MP-3 player, as well as a DVD player for those getting the Navigation option. Unfortunately for me, the HK stereo is delayed until December, so my production date moves from October.

I guess when you think about it it's not such a leap. NIce choice in cars, BTW.

Hummm nice... you are the second one that was told that its only a $100 up in price... I spoke with my dealer today and he said it was going to be up $100 with maybe some new options and colors and and extra key. Humm the auxiliary input sounds neat...

hmmm... aux input very nice... (see thread about hooking up an iPod, much better than overpriced CD changer, and smaller/portable)...

I was right on the cusp, ordering earlier this month... I knew the HK was a long way off, and the impending price increase (not knowing how miniscule it actually would be) prompted me to order rather than wait two/three more months....

perhaps i could swap in a newer head unit after the fact???

also, about colors, did that include additional cloth seating colors, ro just additional interior colors (ie rugs, panels)... that was the other hard choice, leatherette or space cloth... went with leatherette as space cloth was just to garish...

I wonder if the dvd upgrade will be made available to people to "retro-fit" in place of their cd based system.
I meat it should just be different box under the seat. there should not have to be any additional wiring or anything else.

what would be the cost?

i asked the dealer briefly about swapping head units when discussing the HK system, and they had no problem doing it... i wonder when the new head units will be available...

other companies are developing interfaces that basically make a line in via the CD changer cable in the trunk, but the cost (i've heard) is around $125. If the dealer can swap out the unit for less than/ecqual to that, then it's a done deal.
