My un-modified, 35,000m, ’04 MCS squeaks from the glove box and passenger door panel…that’s how I know my car is the real thing. My question is, do all production years have such chatty interiors? Thanks

Hi, 30,000Km here and not a single hint of a rattle..nothing, tight as a drum, and we don't have very good rural roads here in Oz!

Both my '03 and '05 have their little quirks when it coms to squeaking, though the '05 is far less prone to soundling like there are rodents behind the dash.

I have a passenger door rattle in my 2003 MCS. It seems to be the pannel just like yours. On bumps the back squeaks.

Really, the noises don't bother me, unless I think it is a sign of a bigger problem, then I dwell on it and it seems extra loud. I was so relieved when I found out it was the pannel, I bet it costs a ton to replace the power window motor.

My 05 MCS had some rattles but after some investigation, I discovered the glove box rattle was because there were CD cases sliding around inside. The door rattles came from having stuff inside the door pockets.

I do have some rattle coming from the behind me and I suspect it's the windows rubbing on the weather-stripping or the seatbelt pulley inside the b-pillars. I can hear it, and am getting used to it now.

Otherwise, I don't think my car has that many rattles. Certainly not as bad as some other cars I've had in the past (like a Toyota Corolla).
