New Cooper S (JCW) or Impreza WRX 2.0

Hey, I got a problem. I bought in 2003 Mini Cooper S but I trade it and now I have Subaru Impreza WRX 2005/ 2.0 /246hp . Now my dealer offers to me a new Cooper S or Cooper S JWC .. so what do you think should I trade my WRX or not?? I like a lot my AWD WRX
but somehow miss my old Cooper S.

Decisions, decisions....

First thing you do (if possible) is to imagine what both cars are like without the performance aspects. So, which do you prefer to drive because of features, comfort, size, handling etc. This should help you decide which car you really like. The fact you are even asking this question suggests you would like someone to tell you to get a mini!!!!

If you decide the mini is the one for you, get the MCS JCW for the increase in performance. If you need more power you could consider the MTH ecu update which I am led to believe delivers 230 bhp on the JCW. This may cause you warranty issues with your dealer (ask him first) , but it is a relatively cheap and very easy way to get a little extra power.

Mini most definitely

Cooper S JCW most definitely.....great car to drive.....much better interior than WRX and much more subtle.

Id say cooper s works my mate called round lastnight in his new jcw s with leather recaros, was really impressed subaru's are addictive for their characterful engine note and power delivery but I think you get bored of just going fast everywhere! Plus i dont think they are much quicker than a well sorted s, followed a new standard STI into work today, and was surprised that it didnt pull away from mine that much!

Depends if your after tuning either cars up,obviously the scooby will achieve much higher BHP and a lot cheaper too, better handling and acceleration, but interior is rather bland.

well it grips much harder, but i reckoned that the steering feel is pants compared to my S. Too light, too assisted

One reason to get the MINI.... the interior of the WRX is just awful.... I cannot believe Subaru cannot do any better than that.

well i guess it keeps costs down, as the value for money is pretty good. 45k on the road and you get a car that does sub-6 secs to 100kph....

but yeh as venom said the WRX grips like hell, and you can do stupid speeds around corners, but it's not all about grip, not for me anyway

I had little match up with a WRX in my Works down the straightest road, you could ever imagine, so I don't think you could even blame bad driving? Initially I thought he was going to pull away, but I stayed with him up to about 60-70mph and eventually cruised past him quite easily at about 100mph, he looked slightly shocked! The Works seemed quicker from 60 to 100 than the WRX.

I think it would have been a different story if it had been an STI though, this was one of the newer shape ones, the blue colour a bit like Hyper Blue, with Gold Wheels, there again he could have been a rubbish driver.
