Offline | Crikey these things go well! Okay, I'll keep this rather vague to avoid upsetting Paul. Come out of town this evening on an A road I know like the back of my hand, and find myself behind a rather nice 54-plate grey Impreza STI (big wing etc). Well, after 10 miles of very spirited driving, I'm still latched onto his bumper. Never before have I pushed my car so hard through the twisties, and I was quite amazed at just how much grip was available - no matter what I threw at it, the front was completely glued to the apex, and this is with runflats! My only regret is that it was dark, so he's probably not aware that the car he couldn't shake off was a MINI! James P.S. I am in no way saying a MINI is as fast as an Impreza STI. I am merely stating that is this particular instance, he couldn't (or possibly couldn't be bothered to) shake me off. P.P.S. Please don't ban me Paul. ![]() |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | You have just discovered that Impreza's aren't all they're made out to be. Had a few around Donington Park when I went. I was expecting them to easily beat me but they just didn't seem to be able to corner very well??? This was in the dry and the wet. In the wet I thought AWD would have easily beaten me but no. At the time I was on run flats too. Crazy. ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |
