Offline | New purchase soon.... Hello, I used to own an original Mini, however we parted company when it was made about 6 inches narrower by a rather large lorry who protested he couldn't see me! Anyway, after many years away from Minis I finally am in a position to buy a 'new' one! I found this forum while searching the Internet and joined immediately! Its an excellent place for mini related info, my congrats to all who post some excellent stuff.I am interested in the MCS, and possibly a JCW version. I have a test drive booked at my local dealer this weekend in a MCS. I have read a lot of things in the future variant area about the new mini mkII, and that they might have already stopped producing the current version. I hope that's not the case. Anyway, just a post to say hi, and when I've got a 'new' mini I will post some pics! Keep up the good work! Ben |

| Some have THICK skins!!!! | Welcome to MINI2 and dont worry - the current version will be in production till around September time so no worries on you getting one of those. Just so you know if you are refering to the new MINI - it's MINI, if your reffering to the classic mini - it's mini. Everyone knows the difference on here ![]() Good luck with the test drive and hope to see you on a run sometime in the future. Paul |

Offline | Thanks, I'm glad to hear that it will be in production that long, I was getting a bit nervous about the possibility of not getting one! Thanks for the pointer on mini versus MINI! I look forward to seeing you out and about in the future! |

Offline | Well what can I say! I test drove a lovely MCS this weekend and it was great! I was stunned at its performance and handling, just wish I had it for longer than an hour! Now I need to start thinking about what I want mine to be like! Can't wait to get it! |
