Offline | Joining the fold Picking up my New Cooper S in 30 minutes and getting excited. I've been looking at these since they came out and ordered one originally as a second car but had to back off when stock market started fluctuating. Now that it has dive bombed I'm selling my M5 and moving into the Mini. I hope I have as much fun with it as I have the M5 and look forward to meeting everyone eventually! Mark |

Offline | Actually I really owe on the M5 and can no longer afford it while the stock market is playing around. It's a 2000 model Dinan M5. Fully loaded with some options people haven't even thought of! See the following for pictures of it at the auction site. Ebay Auction of Dinan M5 |

| Nice TTs......... | Yep , welcome Mark, have fun in the MINI....... Ive taken a small hit due to the recent fluctuations on the Stocks too, but things may be on the way back......Im debating whether to upgrade my wifes Cooper to an S or not, and if things improve fast, it would clear the way for me to do it sooner....... ![]() ![]() Global Moderator |

Offline | So far so good. Did have one little problem at pick up. Seems there is a manufacturing defect in the windshield, so they are replacing it for me. Figured I would have the roof rack installed at the same time since the car is supposed to remain stationary for 24 hours. I have a custom stereo shop here locally working on a replacement screen for the sunroof. Stock one lets in too much light and you cannot tint the sunroof or it will end up cracking. He thinks we can replace the existing screen with one that will have reflective material on the outside and matching roof liner on the other for complete black out. If it works well he'll offer for others. Also researching a stereo navigation upgrade from Pioneer. Has anyone on the board replaced theirs? Not sure of the size of the stock unit. ![]() |
