Well,

I just picked him up....Pepe (pronounced Pep-ay) came in to my specs: Chili Red w/Black top, leather, premium package, Sport package (minus Xenon). Went in for my 11am appointment during my lunch break. Drove up to the dealer in my girlfriend's Jetta VR6 (sold the Type R Saturday) and didn't see the car outside. There were 4 inside the showroom. One of them had to be mine. Turns out the one under the Mini Zipper car cover was. I got to unwrap my MINI! I was like a little boy at christmas opening up a matchbox car.

Jim, my salesman, and I had talked so much before he understood how much I knew about the car so saved me from the salesman schpeel. The process was short and sweet. Short enough so I didn't get restless, sweet enough so I had time to drool over my new baby.

The car looks amazing with the black top. I wanted the white top first but felt the sunroof ruined the top effect. Overall I'm glad I went with what I've got as the Sunroof is such a cool option. Jim even let me pull it out of the showroom (I've always wanted drive a car right off the showroom floor). He then jumped in with me and paid for feeding Pepe his first lunch (gas). At the gas station we are imediately surrounded by people, Jim was so cool about it telling me this is going to happen a lot, I said bring it on

Anyway, drop Jim off and head for my first virgin miles under break in. This car is amazing. i'm going to have a full report once break in get's done. Can't wait to really wring it out. Anyway, I'll have pictures up here tonite for those interested as I haven't seen many Chili Red Cooper Ss with black tops. It's going to be tough restraining myself, i wanna hear the supercharger whine.....

Also, Dreyer here in Indy was extremely cooperative with the entire sale. Jim was a pleasure to work with. They are not charging anything over MSRP and they do not take waiting lists. You just go in and order what you want.
