I got a Mini key chain and a black Mini hat which cost me the better side of 40,000 dollars. Oh yeah, they included a fully loaded Cooper S as well.

My free gift will not be here until April 2003, the car's ready now but I'm hanging on for the cuckoo clock

A mate of mine got a One about 6 months ago and he got a snazzy key fob (the metal one from the accessories catalogue) but that was it.

Hell, better that than the usual bunch of flowers for the wife/partner junk.

I got naff-all when i picked up my COOPER, but i did get a rather nice framed sketch of a DS/W MCS on the MCS launch day.

I going to have to be more cheeky when i collect my MCS in 8 weeks time - need to blag more free stuff!

I got mints, floor mats(with MINI logo stitching), a dealer licence plate holder

, and a red hat.

I have a bad feeling about the red hat, I don't think I'll wear it while driving. I put it on last night to see how it fit and my dog started barking and growling ferociously at me(it really scared the **** outta me), as soon as I took the hat off she stopped barking. I repeated the process one more time and sure enough she gave me the same result

Needless to say I won;t be wearing it around her anymore.

Mini Mints and the T-shirt from MINIUSA showing the number my car was of the cars sold at the dealer to date. Mine was 0000092. They are unique to each dealer with the Dealer's nome on the back.

If the Dealer charged $50, you were ripped off.

I had to pay for mats, no key chain, no champagne, no zippered car cover.

Paid MSRP.

...and my 0000040 shirt (which I don't wear often after someone mistakenly thought it referred to my age... I've got a few years to go yet. I'm a little sensitive, I guess...)

No mints.

But I was happy to pay MSRP and the box of stuff from MINI was neat.

Other than a full tank of gas, I didn't get any freebies when I picked up my MCS on 5/21, but I did ask for and was given a 15% discount on all purchases made that day, and was given the same discount when making a few more purchases after the pick up date.

Among the items I purchased with the discount:
-boot organizer (and I quite like it)
-"S" bonnet stripes (me-ified it)
-key ring
-hat

So...ask for a discount on accessories when you pick up your MINI.
