| MINI2 Regular | MCS Sport Package contents? More specifically, other than the wheels are there any other mechanical changes to the suspension, for example different sway bars or shocks? The reason I'm asking is because I don't want the wheels that the sport package comes with, since I'd rather get wheels of my choice but I want all the other suspension goodies. Any insight? Offline | M3NTAL Kev.... The MCS has the upgraded suspension components already and by specifing the Sports Package, they basically bundle the DSC III, fog lights and 17" S-Spoke alloy wheels together. I believe there are no further suspension upgrades included in the Sport Package. If you not want the 17" S-Spokes, just specify, the DSC III and foglights separately and save yourself CDN$590 to put into the set of aftermarket wheels you want. You can then use the OEM 16" X-Lites for winter tires. ![]() 2005 Mercedes Benz C55 AMG 2006 BMW Z4 M-Coupe - Premium Pkg. 2007 Honda Fit - Sports Pkg. 2005 V-Star 1100 Custom 2007 Honda 250 Reflex |

Offline | Question for M3NTAL Kev.... What sort of 18" wheels are you thinking of? Obviously from the picture you posted of your BMW, you like to run on "large diameter wheels and ultra low profile tires"! Looks really cool. However, be aware that on front wheel drive cars like the MINI you may experience more front wheel feedback (like tramlining and swerving during hard braking) with excessively wide tires. Also you will experience a rougher ride with 17" or 18" wheels. You will have more tire selection with the 16" wheels. Smaller overall diameter wheel/tire will help in acceleration because you are effective altering the final drive ratio. Of course, you will want to use the widest possible tires for more grip and looks. Where do you live, M3NTAL Kev? Suggest you enter your location in your profile. It will help Canadian posters get to know each other. ![]() 2005 Mercedes Benz C55 AMG 2006 BMW Z4 M-Coupe - Premium Pkg. 2007 Honda Fit - Sports Pkg. 2005 V-Star 1100 Custom 2007 Honda 250 Reflex |
