New (ish) S owner!

Should posted this a while ago - but didn't get round to it! So here is my belated post!!

Basically just over a month ago I drove my mates mini cooper on a nice Tuesday evening for all of 2 minutes and had such a smile of my face! Compred to my last car an E36 BMW 318iS it was so much fun!! So I told my mate what I thought of it, and he rang me the next day (whilst he was at auction) to say a mint cooper s was going through.... Needless to say he bidded on it for me and that day the cooper s was mine! So a very spare of the moment decision.

Spec is:
Charcoal Grey, White Roof and Mirrors. S 17" Alloys. Full History (last major service @ 25500 miles) with TLC Pack. Chilli Pack. A/C. Xenons. Aftermarket bluetooth kit. 26200 Miles. Mint condition (literally as new throughout) 03 Plate. £10600 inc auction fees.

Nearly two months into Cooper S ownership, I decided it was a very good purchase. I can't help but smile when I drive it .... apart from:

The fuel consumption. Have got up to 180 miles in a tank (motorway) otherwise its usually 150-160 miles per tank. That is london driving, but still!!

The clutch can be quite heavy at times and to get a smooth gearchange early on do have to feather the clutch somewhat.

The run flat tyres are AWFUL. I appreciate the cooper will have stiff suspension, but combined with the run flats, its not nice at all. They are coming off ASAP.

Some ******** day 2 into me getting it scrape the rear bumper - so that needs a respray Then the car was towed (illegally!) and they dented and scraped the passenger door somehow. . So i need to fork out at least £650 to get that all sorted again.

You soon get used to it. Worst I've had from my Cooper S Works is 150 miles from a full-to-the-brim tank... usually get around 200 though.

Belated congrats on the MINI.

Now driving a 2006 Brabus Roadster Coupe
PW/B Cooper S Works has gone to its new home!
