I just got off the phone with MiniUSA. My order has slipped several weeks. Originally scheduled for production 8/2, it has moved to 8/23 in weekly steps. When I spoke to MiniUSA today to ask why the constant slippage, I was told that there was a shortage of the xenon lights, but now they are in. I was also told that my current build date, 8/23 is confirmed and it won't slip again.

Has anyone else heard about a xenon light shortage lately? Also, how confident should I be that my date won't slip again -- I am still in status 112?

I just spoke to my dealer, Mini of Sterling. They said it's not the xenon lights. Instead, it's the combination of the sport suspension and leather seats that I ordered. Any reactions to this latest explanation?

Not yet...but you might call MINIUSA back now and tell them it's their turn...

my dealer told me on Monday they'd been asked not to spec any Cooper S's for dealer stock with Lapis Blue leather or 17" s-spokes (he may have mentioned xenons too?) because they are experiencing shortages and don't want to delay customer orders...

As far as I know there has been no shortages of anything, This was about a week ago after talking to my dealer in Cincy...
