Hi,

Just checked out the same thing as we are off to do the Italian Job in a weeks time. If you remove the back off the lights (plastic bit with a metal clip) and look towards the bulb you can see a metal lever - just switch it down and its done

Hope this helps

Indeed, I will be popping over to the continent once I get my Mini, too, so would appreciate some pics for future reference.

Crikey that's an excellent piece of advice... I didn't know that was possible... Off to France shortly so this will be a great help... I wonder if there will ever be an incar switch to do it for you??

If you look towards the lights you will see a switch move it down for the drivers side and up for the passenger side

Job done, replace cover and don't forget to put them back when you return

I checked this out at the dealers and they have confirmed that this does work

I have driven in france as well without adjusting my Xenons in my Focus and noone flashed once. Not as easy to get to as the Xenons in the Mini though!

The mini is so easy to change over - the only think you have to make sure of is to clip the black plastic covers back on properly or they can work loose

Hi,

It moves the lights from dipped to the left to no dip, don't know if it applies to US cars. We use it when we travel in Europe as we drive on the left and they drive on the right

Anyone know if European-spec MINIs have the same adjustment switches for travelling to the UK?

I actually live in the States and own a US spec MINI and am looking into the logistics of bringing it back to the UK when I repatriate. I don't want to shell out money for a new set of UK-spec xenons and was wondering if this trick would get me through the SVA test?

Might do - check out the pic's above and compare it to yours - I used a piece of card to see where the lights were pointing and then use the card in the same place after the adjustment to check to see if it had worked.
