Poor Paint Quality?

Please dont get me Wrong!! I LOVE MY COOPER S..
SURPRISINGLY WHEN YOUR IN LOVE WHAT YOU CAN OVERLOOK!
Having some experience in the Automotive Industry its hard not to notice things! On a bright day If I look down the Quarter panel up across the door on my Pure Silver Mini. The Paint is Almost tiger striped. By this I mean there are lines where the metalic is heavier than other places. the lines are horizontal.I Know silver metallic is one of the hardest to paint, but I surely dont want the dealer to respray the car..

Also on very sunny conditions if I look at the top edge of my black roof right above the rain sill. I am able to see the primer through the black almost in a dotted Pattern. the conditions have to be right, but otherwise when the light is low the roof looks perfectly black.. This to me is an indication that the paint surface is very thin... I MAY BRING IT TO THE DEALERS ATTENTION IN CASE OF FUTURE TROUBLE. I am wondering if anyone else has seen this.. And no this is not a result of any special recreational substances that I have taken...lol
Just Looking for some feedback!!!!!

Oh yeah I hit 1200 miles Yesterday morning!
Man This car flys! This is no BS' the wife and I kept up with a New Vette from a 60mph roll on up to 110mph...
I think all of us were VERY VERY Surprised!!!

I have a PS MCS also and noticed the same thing a couple of days after delivery......what to do?

I also don't want to have it resprayed at this point. Rejection at this point would only mean going through the agony of waiting again. I may learn to live with it or I may look at other options...got any?

dexycat,
Our cars were both on the Traviata together and I had helped you figure out where your car was at one point...looks as if we have alot in common!

I don't know if it's actually the metallic in the paint causing this or not. I don't know if it has to do with the primer underneath, the paint thickness, or optical imperfections in the clear coat, but I have a Chili Red S (non-metallic), and on the driver's door, in just the right conditions, you can see four vertical "tiger stripes" about 16" long. The light reflects off them differently, and if you move your head to one side or the other, they disappear. I've looked it up down and left and right, there are no scratches, no surface blemishes of any kind, the light just seems to reflect/refract differently. It's no big deal in the grand scheme of things, it's nothing I'm sweating...
