Offline | What kind of gas mileage on your MCS? I`m only on my second tank, the first was 21.1 average, the second so far is 24.5. What about you guys? (The first was driving normally with an occassional stepping on the gas, the second, I`m babying it, just to see what it can do.) |

Offline | That's because a British "imperial" gallon contains 4.5 liters of liquid while a U.S. gallon holds 3.8 liters. Thus, an imperial gallon is about 1.2 U.S. gallons and the British MPGs on any vehicle should be higher than on the same vehicle in the US. Without taking into account differences in smog control equipment, etc. Your mileage may vary. |

Offline | Wow, you guys must be leadfoots. I'm consistently getting about 28.5-29 mpg. The disclaimer is that I drive 72 miles round trip to work 5 days a week so a lot of it is freeway miles. I actually hit 31.2 mpg once on a road trip to Vegas... and that was averaging about 90 mph. Weird. smaller is better 2005 Hyper Blue MCS |

Offline | US fuel will not return better or equalled levels of MPG simply because its lower octaned than most European equivilents. The ecu settings would be different too. I get around 25 UK MPG, and around 300 miles to a tank of 99Ron fuel. |
