Hi guys,

I am looking to buy a Pepper White Cooper S but they appear to be quite rare and to carry a premium. Have people found this? Parkers price guide seems to think the Mini Dealers are charging £1k more than a "franchised dealer" should.

Also, what year is the best for value? I can spend up to £15k but really really don't want to buy a lemon. I know the 04 and 05 ones have uprated lights, power and gearbox but does that make any difference?

July 2004 onwards (build date) are the facelift models, they have quite a few diferences over the previous models. Revised gear ratios, higher BHP, revised interior trim and more. This is a good rough guide: What are first generation, second generation, r53, r56 etc?

For shopping around, try the classifieds for an idea of what private sellers are asking (www.mini2.com/classifieds) as well as taking a look here: How can I find out how much my MINI is worth?
