Ive got a 2002 Cooper at the moment and im buying a MCS 2moro and need help on my decision

the 2 cars im choosing from are

Dark silver black roof MCS Chilli
Panoramic roof
aero kit
Sat nav
black blue full leather
MFSW
Climate control
Heated seats

this is a 2002 with 51k on the clock, the age and milage is putting me off but it has loads of extras

the 2nd

black with black roof MCS Chilli
silver vipers
aero kit
black and beige full leather which stands out a lot
H/K stereo
MFSW

this is a 2004 with 19k on the clock

the only reason im not snapping up the DS with the extras is the mileage,

whats peoples views on that

You haven't mentioned prices. Can I assume that the 2002 is a lot cheaper? Otherwise it's an absolute no brainer, I'm with Fin, go with the 2004.

Its all down to price, as the spec is near as dam it identical bar the sunroof & satnav.

If the 2002 is less than 9.5K & with cherished warranty then I`d take that.

If the 2004 is post July {facelift upgrade} & around 11.5K with Cherished warranty then I`d take that.

how the hell would the 02 be 9.5k witha cherished warranty. if the 2002 is on a main dealer forecourt it will be 11k minimum,

And the 2004 on a cherished warranty, no way at 11.5k, Again nearr to 13k on a dealer forecourt with that milage and age. in fact looking at the spec its nearer 14k

but yes we need to know prices, why not post up links of the cars too if they are for sale at a garage

Post July 2004 builds are considered 2005 MY cars.
2002 MINIs don't have a very good reputation for reliability. It seems they were all sorted by 2004.

So get the 2004.

I cant recall any serious reliability problems with the 2002 MCS over the 2004 model.
I`ve had both & neither were troublesome

2004 is £13 495

i want the low milage and but all the toys im not going to get that unless i spec my own new 1 up! lol

there both at Fawdingtons newcastle and there not advertised yet as they have only just got them in so no links sorry!

shop around mini dealers will be desperate to get cars off the forecourt @ this time of the year its very slow jan / feb it will be a buyers market

Exellent choice

There is no way it was worth saving "only" £1,500 to get the older car!!

Im glad you's like itlol makes me like it all the more even tho its my car not yours lol!

i was going to be picking it up on tuesday as its BMW's day off on monday but they need me to go back to the garage which is 100 mile round trip to sign a form for the DVLA as i cant find my counterpart license so they can do a check if i do actually have a full license before they let me have my new toy but now its going to be wednesday as this check with the DVLA takes 24hrs!!

i think its a great choice to

as every1 on here who buys a new car, the wait is so unrestful!

I want it now!

ohh and i had a test drive of course

and it drives amazing only im not overly pleased with 1st gear!!!!

as its a 6 speed, 1st is not impressive but 2nd then 3rrrddd then 4tttttttthhhhhhhh is awesome

And i got a new set of Bullets Thrown on 2! instead of the S Spokes.

as Joey Triviani says on Friends to the beef custard! "I LIKE IT"
