Offline | Fan noise Don't know if this is right or not but, just got a second hand mini cooper s and have found that the fan for cooling the engine is really loud. Took it back to the dealer who said it was normal. I don't know anyone else with a cooper s to ask. It sounds like a big hairdryer but is really loud, is this normal? I'm not convinced and now the engine temperature dial is constantly going near the red even when only doing 60. Please can someone help me with this!! Is it supposed to sound like this? ![]() |

Offline | I think your car has a problem, my fan on my MCS is as loud as any other car but not a hairdryer, Your temp gauge should not be going near the red but stay in the middle at all times even when the fan comes on. You may cause damage if you let your car get that hot, go back to dealer asap |
