Hi all,
just swapped my 2004 civic type r for a 2004 mcs in silver with black roof and mirrors.It has climate control and the harmon kardon hifi upgrade. It has full dealer history but has covered about 60k, do these engines wear well as my civic had less miles but felt like it would never die !
The mini was up for £9750 so I had some cash my way. I'd like to hear your opinions

I have a '04 MCS in silver too, no problems at all.

Is it a post July 2004 Car ? {sticker on o/s wing under bonnet tells build date}
If so it will be the facelift with most issues sorted & higher power engine

The date it was first reg is 01-03-04 so I guess its the lower power model, but seems to drive well pick it up on friday, handles so much better than the type r and you don't have to hit 8000 rpm to get the best out of it ! ( I glued my head to my shoulder, now I have two owies !)

I'm in sunny Weston super mare, picking the Mini up on Friday, its being mot'd and serviced this week so I'm hoping for a nice weekend to clay the paint work and polish it up and maybe go for a spin

fingers crossed it is good, as after my service and BW washing my car for me, i got back into the polishing lark. After refitting my seat runners on saturday i willl be getting the clay bar out too.

Hav fun, although be warned you have swapped a hard as nails and reliable civic for a quirky but lovely car with pain in the **** problems, but thats part of the fun of owenership ( or so i have been told)
