| MINI2 Newbie | Newbie almost ready to pull the trigger Hi Guys, Been reading alot. There's loads of good stuff here. Just wanted a straight answer to three simple questions I'm looking at paying £15k for an Astra Black 2006 ( May 2006 ) MCS with Leather / Chili / Darkened Glass / Panaramic Roof / MFSW / Visibilty Pack / 17" Bullets with 11k on the clock My questions 1, What is in the Visibility Pack ( I've searched and read and believe its Auto Lights/Wipers and Heated screen but wanted confirmation ) 2, What is included in the Chili pack ( Again I've searched but not found a conclusive agreed list ) 3, Does this look like a good deal from a Main Dealer ? Thanks Si |

Offline | Don't forget the Limited Slip Diff (LSD) as part of the Chili Pack Scrogg ![]() Seems a fair price to me. Is it full leather, or just half leather? Go for it! It's one of the last of its kind ![]() Tigger. ![]() May 08: Thanks to all of my friends on Mini2 for a lot of great times over the last 4 years. In future I can always be contacted here! |

Offline | As for the good deal from Main dealer - best bet is to sanity check against similar specced cars on the Mini cherished site: MINI Cherished.co.uk You can go in to advanced search and specify (most of) the options. Welcome to the club! ![]() If you can't be good... be good at it! |

Offline | I think its an excellent spec the right colour exterior and interior and well it is a supercharged one. £15K isnt a bargain, but it is fair price from a dealer. However, be prepared for it to be worth £9K to £10K once its 3 years old. I just feel selling an old model on will be difficult. I bought a 2005 Aug '05 with Function steering, heated seats, chilli pack, sunroof, 6cd, lsd but half leather, chrome in/out and 17" bullet wheels with 13K miles for £12,250. But I bought it privately and they wanted a quick sale. I bought it in May 2007 |

| MINI2 Newbie | TBF, thats nearly a year older. The only ones I could find that even came close to the age of this new one were £14k+ which as a percentage is very very close. Maybe not a bargin but defo a good deal. I assume your saying once it's three years old it will be worth £9 to £10 cause of the R56 ? Three year only Cooper S's are currenty fetching £13k and up words. You saying yours wil lose £2.25k to £3.25k over the space of a year ? I though from looking round this cars held there value very well ? Si |

Offline | I just think future depreciation values wil accelarate as the R53 becomes more of a historic buy and more R56s start hitting the 2nd hand market. I saw a late 53 Cooper S with Chilli for £10750 from a dealer. Heaven knows what the customer got on his trade in. |

| MINI2 Newbie | This is one of the cheapest ones on Mini's website MINI Cherished 53 Plate ( Oct 2003 ) so nearly 4 years old and £10495. If you use the rule of thumb that mini dealers add £1500 the that has a 4 year old Cooper S with Chili for £9k. Si |

Offline | Just to put this in perspective for a moment, this car is 3 years older, of unknown miles and condition and is £4,250 less. This is not unreasonable. The price of £15,000 for the June '06 car may not be a bargain, but it's pretty fair. ![]() May 08: Thanks to all of my friends on Mini2 for a lot of great times over the last 4 years. Offline | Wasn't mine by any chance! My 53 plate MCS has pretty well the same spec as the one mentioned here, including full leather panoramic sunroof etc. I bought it at exactly 3 years old as a cherished MINI from Sytner. It cost me the grand total of £10450! |
