Offline | Will this Cooper S ever sell at £19,995 Hi all, Just out of curiosity really.... everytime I go up to my local dealer I look at this car. It is a cracking looking motor, and it baisically my car in 'S' format. I'm not in any position what so ever to buy it, being 19. But I cant help thinking its way overpriced? Recently they have added silver vipers to the car, which make it look even more ![]() ![]() Standard Equiptment.... 16" X-Lite Light Alloy Wheels 6 Speed Gearbox Additional Remote Key Adjustable Steering Column Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) Automatic Stability Control + Traction Bonnet Air Intake CD Changer Preparation Cornering Brake Control (CBC) Door Mirrors - Electric Driver & Front Passenger Head Airbags Driver & Front Passenger Side Airbags Electric Windows - Front Electro-Hydraulic Power Asst Steering Electronic Braking Distribution (EBD) Optional Equiptment.... 17" Web Spoke Alloys CHILI Pack Chrome-Line Exterior Chromed Mirror Caps Cockpit Chrono Package Darkened Glass Heated Mirrors/Washerjets Metallic paint Multi-function on S/Wheel Roof In Body Colour Visibility Pack Aero Kit As you can see, nice spec. But it is missing some of the 'top end' stuff like Harmon Kardon and Sat Nav. Plus as far as I'm aware this isnt a JCW converted car either. A fiver short of £20 grand on a '56' plate R53?! Surely not? What do you guys think? Regards, James. P.S full details and more pics can be seen here Welcome to Bateman authorised MINI dealership Its the 6th car on the list. |

Offline | Nice car, but highly optimistic ![]() I love R53 MINI's, but I'm not blind to the fact that they taken a bit of a hit recently and it won't have been worth that for some time. Tigger. |

Offline | Yeh its been there since the 1st time I went to Batemans back in December / January when I just got my MINI. Its never going to sell at that price. Even if it was a 210bhp JCW car I would have thought it was still very pricy... Hopefully it will remain on the forecourt for another two years, then I'll be in a position to buy it! ![]() James. |

Offline | I have seen one sell for £5 less It was similar, but had colour coded aero kit 18" JCW Wheels Auto Air con Anthracite Roof & interior Recarro Seats That sold before i got the go ahead. So that one is way overpriced It probably belonged to the sales manager ..... given the VAT Qualifying ,,,, and they are trying to make as much as possible on it. Also banking on the 56 reg I'm off to look at an 06 JCW tomorrow thats £18.5k Recarro's HK Anthracite Roof & interior Only thing it ain't got is auto air con ![]() |

Offline | Can't get the insurance. Tried that ![]() My existing company won't cover it Too high a group..... yet they will cover a JCW S ![]() So i would have to wait till march and move companies if i was to go for a GP I do like the idea of having back seats too though ![]() |

Offline | I keep looking at that one too! Then think why on earth is this MINI £19,995! And then look at the others on the list for the more real price of £16,500 at the most! Theres a 56 Pepper White MINI for £13,999 at the moment. True it doesn't have a Chilli pack but the one above can't be worth 6 grand more! |

Offline | it hasn't even got full leather. I missed out on the JCW i went to look it, it had already sold Spec was Awesome thoughLeather Recarro's JCW Tuning Kit 18" JCW Wheels JCW Brakes Sunroof All this plus the standard shizzle on a June 06 plate for £18.5k So the chances of this selling are zilch. I would be suprised if that cost £20k new to spec. Its barely more than a standard S with and aero kit and a couple of extras, I suppose the wheels are worth a bit though. There is another JCW on the mini cherised site, similar spec to the one i missed, but only has the standard full leather instead of the recarro's so i ain't bothering , and thats £18.8k. I knows what i wants and i'm willing to wait. Chances are that an R56 S Works will be out before i find one. ![]() |

Offline | I know its only a Diesel, but my 2006 (06) plate ONE D cost me £13.5k at 5months old in December 06. And that cost the previous owner around £16.5 / 17k new. So for a Cooper S to be £20k 7months later is madness, and the more I look at it, the less spec it has to justify the money. Still a great looking car though! |
