Our New MINI Park Lane Cooper S (We've bought it!!!)

Well I think I may have found what could be my dream MCS.

I started a thread last week questioning this MINI cherished listing in MINIs Coming Soon section. Cooper S, Royal Grey, English Leather. See pic below:

Well I then deleted that thread after I rang them and confirmed my suspicions as I thought it may bring unwanted attention to this MINI as I indeed found out that the listing was correct and it is a MINI Park Lane Cooper S (the only one in the country) and I didn't want anyone else to snap it up. My appologies to everyone who posted in it for deleting it.

No its not an import, GB fully, RHD and everything. Registered Sept last year. Something to do with London diplomats I've been told.

Currently I have a deposit on this baby so they are taking it off sale and I'm waiting with baited breathe for it to come out of the prep station and to the dealer so I can see it! I don't know anymore about it than this MINI listing but I am quite excited about it!

I may be a MINI owner again soon!

I will post pics of this MINI as soon as I go to view it. Supposedly it will be between 5-10 days.

That's fantastic news Really pleased for you!

Why, oh why, wasn't this a production model for the UK as well? I'd love to have know their thinking behind it....

You're going to have to keep it forever now

Just when we thought we'd lost her, no longer a part of the fold,
she pops back up with this little gem, a new one replacing the old.
An extra special rareity, a one in a million no-less,
Our Laura is back in a shiney Park Lane, but this one's a new Cooper S!!

Well done Laura, well spotted!

Thanks sweetie! Thats so lovely! I love your little poems!

Its not for definite at all yet. For one its an auto and have never driven that before.

Just couldn't let this one off slip through my hands though without seeing it and having first dibs!!

Found these pics of a Park Lane Cooper S from Belgium and another one too.

Have always thought this is a absolute beauty. These pics are not of my find but of on the continent ones.

Tigger you might remember my Mum and Dad's Parklane at Beaulieu this year you parked next to us! Well now I might have its big brother! I'm so excited and I think I may have to keep it forever!

I'm getting married next year - think Parklane MINIs may be our wedding cars!

I remember! Your mum is quite a character!

It would make a superb wedding car as well, though you may have to buy a dress on the basis of being able to get in and out of the back of a MINI in it! It's got to be worth it

It's great being able to use something for your wedding that's special to you! So much better than just another hire car. Eeyore & I turhed up to our sister's wedding on our tandem (all decorated!) and everyone waiting for the next wedding thought that it must have been us getting married

Tigger.

Yeah! Thats her! Quite a character is an understatement! (in a nice way of course)

Its a good thing I don't want a meringue dress isn't it!

Awww a tandem sounds lovely. We once went to a wedding and the next party was waiting outside when we were leaving they had a pink stretch limo and a yellow stretch hummer! Not to my taste but quite cool as the hummer was almost as big as the church!

Wow thats a cool picture Foxy!

Thanks for that!

That one doesn't seem to have the parklane logos and such by the side repeaters. Not sure if the one I'm looking at has either but will know soon enough!

If it was built for the uk market, then i would think it would have the PL branding including the badges on the glass, in silver above the repeaters and the door entry strips. i guess its got the 3rd dimension (CF wannabe) dash as well?

i think the...

"Package 7AM MINI Park Lane"

is the badging etc package.

Thats a similar spec to my PL, ive got the HK, Xenons, air bags etc. but no auto or sun roof.

looks like it will be a great car!

we need photos asap.....

If you don't mind. Can I ask how much yours was brand new approx that way I can probably add about £2000-£3000 for the difference between the Cooper and the S.

I don't know how to work out just how much it was otherwise.

Well, mine wasn't new when i got it, was about 10 months old with 15 thousand on the clock, so fairly high millage. (higher now tho...20 months old with 40k on the clock.....)

Its a PL on a '55
HK stereo
Zenon headlights
rubber matts
rubber boot mat
i think thats about it over standard....

cost me £14,000 from specialist cars, stevenage.

hope that helps a bit.
