bent badge..

hi there,

ive seen a MINI that I like, however one thing is putting me off it...the MINI badge on the centre of the steering wheel is a bit bent/damaged...

now i searched online at RealOEM.com Online BMW Parts Catalog but cannot find anywhere that sells just that little middle badge bit on its own, instead u have to buy the whole cover..

therefore, is it just a badge that is stuck on with glue? or how is it attached?

thanks..

Replacing the badge involves replacing the entire air bag assembly. Mine was covered under warranty. I was told it was approx. a $900 part.

My 05 MCS is doing this.

Can I claim under the 'cherished' warranty?

The day I recieved my cherished car I noticed that this happened so I gave the dealer a call and they replaced it under warranty.

Good luck

You cannot just replace the badge as has already been said, its the whole air bag unit.

If it was at a dealers they'd probably swap it with one in another car to get the sale

Its only a forum you know!
