Offline | Park Lane S Works! Hi saw this today, was wondering if it is anyone on here? I didn't think they made a Cooper S Park Lane in this country, must be quite rare especially with all the JCW extras looked really nice with the colour coded aerokit and 18 inch wheels. I'd just love to have this car ![]() |

Offline | Hi Scrogg I saw it just outside Southend on the A13, as was visiting some friends that live up that way. Laura shouldn't be that unhappy as it is only the second PL S in the UK and hers is still different from this one as hers is still standard and this one was a JCW plus it was an 06 plate so hers is newer. ![]() |

![]() Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. | Laura, having one of only three Park Lane S MINIs in the UK is still fairly limited edition. ![]() I know you thought you had the only one, but you still own something which the majority of us will never own ourselves. ![]() I saw your car at the Clubman Preview Event on Saturday and she's gorgeous! ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Awww thanks KB! I know she's very rare! I love her still. I bet shes the only Automatic Parklane S out of those though! I've asked MINI if they could give me the number of PL MCS's in the country so I can have some documentation that she is indeed very rare and will be a collectors item some day! |

| MINI2 Master | it was standard lloking, but had Aero skirts on it, it was the interior that caught my eye first, as you can imagine there were a fair few diferent minis to look at. There were also some option list hero's in their R56 MCS's, one had virtually every option you could imagine |

Offline | Hi sorry Laura no pics I'm affraid, but next time I'm up that way (take a camera with me!) if I see it again will take some snaps. It was an auto as well didn't know you could have the JCW tuning kit fitted to an auto, I thought it might of been someone on here. So I'm guessing this must be quite a rare mini how lucky is the person it belongs to ![]() |

Offline | Yep,you definitely can have the Works kit applied to the auto. I made sure of this as we eventually want it put on too. So you had a good look round it! Thats cool. I'm interested to know about it and see pics! I've emailled MINI on Monday morning and they rang me last night. I asked MINI in my email how many Cooper S Park Lanes were built for the UK market as they were officially a Cooper, and how many RHD MINI Cooper S Park Lanes there are in the world! So I can have it documented at just how collectable my MINI may be in the future. It would be good to know! So they rang me last night and first told me that she didn't understand my email as as far as she was aware the Parklane special edition was only a UK thing so how many in the UK and how many in the world would be the same question. I told her I believed this to be incorrect as I have seen photos of PL MCS's in Saudi, Belgium, and Russia for example. She then told me it could have been imported from the UK to those countries. (laughable their knowledge in MINI customer services) Obviously this is incorrect as officially UK Parklanes were only a Cooper? She told me she will investigate into it further and contact all the appropriate departments and get me a answer but it might take a while. I told her I was very curious just how many were made for this market and for the world as some could have been imported and spotted in this country and it is very interesting and thought I would ask at the original source!! So I'll keep you posted about my reply from MINI when they get it together. |

| Affinity to 1320 Autos | That makes me laugh... I once spoke to someone in Mini Customer Services asking to speak to someone about an Aerokit... She asked me what an Aerokit was... Then when I asked a parts guy for some extra clips he said they only come with the Aerokit so I would have buy another one to ensure I got theclips... Funnily enough I don't go there anymore... |

Offline | Exactly LMB! Thats the problem! I know mine is definitely a Park Lane S UK spec RHD (definitely not an import). They do Parklane S's in other countries but not in the UK (officially!!). I bought mine which is a 56reg used from Park lane MINI in London. They told me that because they are owned by the MINI factory and they can do things that other franchised dealers cannot. They had a diplomatic order for a Park Lane S in september 2006. That first owner had it from Sept till April then Parklane MINI owned it until August then I bought it with only 3600miles on! Parklane MINI told me it was the only one they've ever seen. Now I'm trying to find out just how many are built for the UK market from MINI. I thought I was the only PL MCS but now 2 more have cropped up in a weekend! |

Offline | They didn't officially in the UK Mo... Park Lane Cooper S's were available in other markets though. Any UK spec RHD Park Lane Cooper S in this country is a special order ![]() ![]() |

Offline | I know its silly! but MINI tell me they think that Park lane in general was only a UK thing at the moment anyway! So there supposedly weren't any LHD parklanes. I know this is rubbish though! |
