Offline | Sounds like they did do something - dented your motor and ignored your faults list. What was the running problem? What a nightmare! This is why I hate taking my car into dealerships. ![]() |

Offline | This happened to me a couple of weeks ago, left my Mini in to get back and front bumper touched plus it looked like the car had been checked before I bought it before Xmas. They left the car back to me still without the back bumper fixed which was the main reason it was going in. ![]() |

Offline | Hello Tim and guys... Still with the dealership today. I spoke with a member of staff at BARONS OF HINDHEAD yesterday and said that I am now going to pursue the formal complaints process. Their customer service is apauling... sad when you consider that their sales team and technicians are so good... My car hasn't been with me for 2 weeks of this year - not good enough. Will keep you updated, Jay |

Offline | trouble you are having is all too common, they just do not give a toss about your car. i know people who have had no probs with their car until they put it in for a service, after which nothing but problems !! all they seem to want to do is change wipers ( which don't need changed ), dent your car, dirty your seats and carpets, wash your car with dirty water and a dirty sponge, ie anything except what they are getting paid to do. a total waste of time for all concerned....................but they still get paid !!! |

Offline | This is exactly why my car will be going to the independant specialist I have been using for years for my Audi once the TLC has run out. He gives a monkey because he is the monkey getting paid. ![]() |

Offline | Went to pick up my S on Saturday morning, all rattles fixed, but still making the dreaded click when pulling away, or reversing... This is after a new bearing and new drive shaft. ![]() A BMW specialist is coming in on Tuesday to look at the problem in detail and officially report this. They've given me a new R56 Cooper to have for time being; I thought this would be a good time to do a little report on how I've found living with the car... hope this helps: - Looks. Still not overly sold on the exterior... it's just the front of the car, and I really think it needs the aero kit/spot lights to start looking the business. - Interior - no rattles at all, but it feels a little on the cheap side. I don't know what it is, it just does feel as classy as the R53, although it's definitely put together a lot better. (Lack of chrome interior??) - The dials and radio take about 30 seconds to get used to, and I like the fact that my passengers have found them so alien! - The mood lights are quite cool, again, very quirky, not too pleased with the new indicator click, petrol low warning sound or weird beep it makes when it starts up... my friend who drives a V6 4 Motion Golf said it's just a little all too 'cute and quirky' -Drive. Clearly the main thing about a car and a MINI. It drives very, very, very well. Again, with no rattles and a snug interior, it does feel solid. The chasis is good, brakes are superb and it tackles corners in its stride... but that's the problem - it does the corners too well! Listen... in my old Cooper and my Cooper S, you knew that you could hammer it round a corner, but you did it on the seat of your pants and it seriously thrilled you... this just seems so competent, and almost lolls into the corner. Round town the steering is too light, and I feel the car is more suited on the windy B roads more than anything. Thinking from BMW's point of view though - what they've done to the car is superb. It will appeal a lot more to the average driver (my girlfriend drove it on Saturday morning and was in love). The gear box and clutch are easier and the petrol consumption is phenomenal - easily getting 45mpg and it's being driven with some vigour. Will I get an S... most likely, but I'm not in any rush... my one will have to be on it's last legs or beyond repair - but it's still a good car, a better every day car... and I guess that's what most people want/need. Hopefully my S will be fixed soon... miss the supercharger so much! ![]() |
