Hey everyone,

Just thought I would pop the first pics up of my MCS

I picked it up yesterday, and what can I say... its awesome!! A totally different car to my previous R56 One, for both better and worse reasons... its soooo characterful and zippy.. yet I've managed to spend my usual weekly fuel amount in one day

I don't think it helps that I've been driving it pretty much all the time

Here are the pics.. the spec is pretty much as can be seen.. its standard under the bonnet (at the moment

)

The mods I've done so far are...

- Black 'S' Side Repeaters
- Shorty Aerial
- Halos
- Alloys

I can't wait for a good long summer of shows now!

Cheers for the comments everyone! I thought it was a rare looking beasty.. hence me snapping it up wayyy before I originally intended on getting an S.

Doh! I forgot to photoshop my rear reflectors out!!!

I would have loved an S convertible.. but the insurance was out of this world with me still being young. It's not exactly cheap as it is

Also I think if I had got a Cooper S convertible I would have hidden away to live in a big long tunnel.. which wouldn't have been good for my health

The sound of that supercharger is infectious enough in a hardtop!!

And don't you worry about those fuel bills - Have it while you can afford it - I'm getting worried that I'm never gonna be able to afford to run an S properly

Stunning - halos look very cool on yours (and I'm not normally a fan of them!)

How comes you traded from an R56 One to an R53 S?? Didn't you used to have a lovely Cooper with HK and sound kit, or am I getting confused?

As aldo said, does it have front tints? If it does (as you probably know) you will have to watch yourself.

I got pulled last year for front tints and was told i was going to be given 3 points. Around 8 months fighting the case, my solicitor got me off with it. Sorry for off topic'ness*

Tinted more than the standard MINI tints on the front? He needs to keep that quiet...

Cheers mate! Yeahh.. I love my halos

Ahh as in a Hyper Blue Cooper? I think that was Sebby.. not me

But yeah.. don't get me wrong, the R56 One was a really nice car and 100% reliable over the 5k miles I had it.. but its just wasn't 'MINI' enough for me.

It didn't have the soundtrack I wanted engine-wise.. Also as much as I would have loved to have modded it up in terms of the exterior.. it would have cost a fair whack, whereas changing for this car cost virtually nothing.. just the change of plates, tax etc..

I'm not sure atm! Can't really think of any big ones to be honest.. I would love a more aggressive scoop though.. oohhh and the rear stickers on the aero bumper have gone yellow-ish.. so they need replacing!

Loving your motor and the mods you have done to it btw.. if you were more local we could have had a little photoshoot

Mmmm.. I was surprised a main dealer sold me the car with them on to be honest! Its not something I have done. I had even darker tints on a previous car and had no trouble.. I think I've been lucky..my windows tend to be down 99% of the time anyway
