Offline | Hello Hi There I have been lookin round the site for a bit now an in the pocess of looking for a cooper s to replace my mk2 mr2. | MINI2 Regular | It could be covered in the above link, but clutch problems seem to be quite common. If the pedal is excessively heavy or notchy, be warey. Mine was heavy and it ended up going back to Mini after a few days as the Slave cylinder link arm was sticking, which meant the clutch was not functioning as well as it should and slipped occassionally when under load. It appeared to be fine from a standstill but then the technician actually managed to stick the car in 3rd gear and release the clutch, with the handbrake on, and the car didn't budge! |
