Offline | Sweetners from dealer for long wait ? I was wondering what freebies I'm likely to be able to blag from my dealer for having to be so patient over the last 5 months since I ordered my mini. What have you guys got away with ? I don't expect anywthing too mad - just some free floor mats ro something ? |

| Bad Dog, Moderator | I waited nine months.. And got a great car at the end of the wait. I havent heard much about freebies beyond maybe a t-shirt or a coffee cup being offered by dealers. They tossed in both to me after a minor financing glitch. If I hadn't asked, I'd have gotten nothing.Chili Red / Black Roof Cooper "S", delivered Aug 5, 2002. Offline | You've probably got mats in your car already. Sweeteners from a BMW dealer are like hen's teeth. I asked for a free second remote key but they wouldn't give me it. I got two keyrings and a lovely bunch of flowers ![]() It doesn't hurt to ask for whatever you want so go for it. Red/Black R56 Cooper |

Offline | I ordered mine in early April (pick it up in mid November...on the dock waiting for a boat right now) and though I'm not getting them for free, I asked my dealer about a second set of wheels/tires for wintertime. I'll be replacing my 17" performance tires with a stock set of 15" all seasons on the 7 hole base MINI wheels in the snowy months. All for $400 for the wheels and tires. Not a bad deal for a set of alloys just by themselves! 2003 IB/W MCS |

Offline | Diddly squat. I did get given a half bottle of MINI champagne when they messed up delivery of my car. They've 'kindly' ordered me a 2nd remote key at cost price...£70.01! Whether I bother to collect it is another matter. -------------------------------------------- MCS in EB/B, Chilli, Auto A/C, MD and CD changer.
