I was told an average wait of 4-6 months. Has it gotten worse since ? Will it get longer now that there are two new added options for MCS? If I were to place an order for an MCS this month (w/ the 2 new options for 12/02), when shall I expect delivery approximately?

It depends on where you are. In Cali, the wait is probably a long time. In upstate NY, you might find one on the lot. It took only 7 weeks from the time I ordered to the time it arrived at the dealer.

I think this is the complicated part of your question. I doubt that MINI will be successful in delivering new options "on time." You probably won't be able to order the new options this month.

Last I heard (this morning when I asked), the line to place an order has shortened substantially on the right coast, down to counting 4-6 weeks now. The left coast is probably still a bit of a wait, but will also catch up soon. As has been mentioned, you can probably get a dealer spec'd MCS off the lot. There are two in Atl this week. Yellow or Silver,...

It's still the best thing I ever waited for!

He he, that is very reassuring to know

Does that mean if I spec it will come with the HK sound system and rain-sensing wipers? (I know the answer to this but want to hear it from you anyway)

Well, HK is scheduled to be avail for production 12/02 we hear there maybe a delay from the manufact. As far as the
rain sensing windsheild it is not avail. for orders yet. Although you get speed sensing wipers standard.
