I’m a newcomer to MINI2.com (great site) but not entirely new to the wonderful world of MINI as my husband and I are the proud owners of Ozzy, a Chili red Cooper.

When we bought Ozzy the deal was to keep him for a year then trade up to an ‘S’.

However, come the day of reckoning my husband point blank refused to do it as he loves the Cooper so much

SO today I went out on my own and ordered my own ‘S’ then broke the news via telephone. MINI’s have really gotten to me because that is something I would never have done. Despite my husbands initial shock he now realises that the Cooper is ALL his

So here’s the spec of my new ‘S’ Daisy, she is EB with white roof/mirrors/wheels, white bonnet stripes, Chili pack, Auto air con, tinted rear windows and MD audio boost.

I’m hoping for a Santa delivery but that might be pushing it a touch.

Me Alan?, driving an 'S'? After my recent escapade with Central Scotland's finest I'm seriously thinking about getting Ozzy de-tuned

BTW- is OZZY named after...Osbourne?

Congrats on the order - hopefully you won't have too long a wait! My wife and I love our current Cooper, but "it's gutless" apparently! This from a woman who's only had her licence 18 months as well!!!

We were told 8-9 weeks wait, and that's flown by so only 20 days to go now!!! How did you like CR as a colour? We've got PS/B at the moment, but went for CR/W for our MCS (without having seen one in the flesh either, doh!!!!).

The bigger decision was white or chrome alloys, but decided on the same again in the end... chrome 17" S-Spokes.

So, Linda, you've had a couple of days to go through the the should i or shouldn't i have done that routine!!

So, will you be getting the cabrio when it comes out, or the turbo or the 4 wheel drive, or the..........See where i'm coming from, LOL, Willie will have to hide the cheque book me thinks.

Between you and me though, I spent the weekend cutting up Linda's credit cards and burning the cheque book. So, hopefully I won't be in for any 'little surprises' in future
