Its just a body kit. New front and rear spoilers, skirts etc. IMHO it looks ridiculous, but each to their own. Costs about £900 in the UK + fitting. The only good part of it is the all black front grille.

It may be "just" a body kit, but it certainly doesn't look ridiculous

I'm with wigley on this one - the aero kit front end looks like a max-power 'special'
One for the 'ricers', me thinks!

hi podger. its just an opinion .

I noticed the sideskirts have this little grill air-intake thing....like the rear brakes might need extra cooling or something?

The Aero Kit is about $1900-2250 installed, depending on which US dealer you go to.

IMO, it makes the MINI look much better than just the factory bumpers/sills.

There is a Dark Silver on the showroom floor of our dealer that has basically every possible option and add-on...it has the aero kit, but they're wanting something over $3k for it ...I like the look of it, but only around $1500 worth
Incidentally, this particular example is the priciest Mini I've seen...nearly $30k

Aero kit--need for sides & back?

My dealer here in Louisiana is brand new and has almost no clue about accessories. From what I can discern from looking at the accessories brochure ('02, not'03), there seems to be little logic for buying the side skirts and the back apron and grille. Can anyone give me a good reason--especially since these two accessories (side and back) seem to total
about $750 US (uninstalled)?

Also, my salesperson says that her shop people tell her that the whole kit--front, sides, & back--have to be purchased as a complete unit. That's car dealer ********, no?

My BRG "S" w/ sunroof arrives in 2 weeks!

What's the difference? I thought the car color is the body color

I'm a big "less is more" proponet -- I personally don't care for the Aero kit, including the cheap-looking black grill. I think it rather ruins the clean looks of the MINI.
