A couple of weeks ago I was in my local grocery store looking through some car mags. One of the magazines had a picture of the Nissan 350Z on the cover, but it also had a comparison review on four cars: Mini Cooper S, Ford Focus SVT, VW GTI and Honda Civic Si.

The review ranked the MCS first, SVT second, and I think the Si third. When I went back to the store the magazine was gone and I have not been able to locate it since. I know it wasn't one of the major car mags (C&D, Motor Trend, R&T or Automobile).

Did anyone else see this review?

the November 2002 issue of Sports Car International. It indeed has the Z on the cover and a smaller picture of the MCS, Honda, SVT, and Gti in the lower right-hand corner. They ranked the cars from 1rst to 4th in their review, and it went: MCS-1rst, SVT-2nd; Gti-3rd; Civic Si-4th. I don't have a scanner handy, but let me know if you need any specifics in the article and I can fill you in...

Thanks for the info and the correction to the ranking. I think it was the first comparison between the MCS and SVT that I had seen. Some very nice comments on the MCS. I guess I caught the issue at the end of its display time.
