What should I expect?

I just got back from my dealer. My auto will be built next week (Week 49). I should have delivery by 20 December. My question -- Will my US spec auto have the new sport wheel and drilled pedals?

It would be nice to find those options/upgrades in my car when I take delivery.

Still trying to figure out what will be the first CD that I put into the HK stereo system. I hope its worth the extra cost.

Appreciate any thoughts.

'03 MCS - DS/B every option but leather. Lucked out and got the new sport wheel and aluminum pedals. I'm cruising now and loving every minute of it. HK and Rainsensor, definately worth the wait.

C'mon Basil...

Auto...automobile...car...

MINI Cooper S = Auto (short for automobile, not automatic transmission)

Nissan 350Z = Auto also

Nah sorry to say but your auto wont have the new sports steering wheel. I e-mailed MINI NA and asked them that question before and they told me December builds will have the new steering wheel and they are not sure when the AL pedals will be included yet.

Basil -

Sorry about that, I should have spelled out the entire word "automobile" to avoid any confusion.

UCSD -

If I read your post correctly I should have the new sports wheel, but the pedals are a different story.

My MCS will be a December build. I hope MINI NA is correct, the new sport wheel is definitely a plus. I would like the pedals but there are enough threads on this site, with links to other aftermarket pedals that would satisfy my needs for aluminum pedals if my doesn't include them.

Oh haha yes. J/K you tricked me. Yup you should get the sports steering wheel then if its a Dec build thats what I was told by MINI NA.

Here is the e-mial I got

"Hi Eric,

Thanks for writing in.

We anticipate that the new sport wheel will be standard on the Cooper S beginning 12/02 and a an option on the Cooper. Please keep posted to MINIUSA.com for more information about the pedals.

LET'S MOTOR.

Thanks for all the replies –

I only have 21 days and I should have my auto (just kidding Basil) my MINI. I'll just have to wait and see if MINI NA is correct whn it arrives. Either way, I'm tired of waiting I need the car.

I plan on cruising by the end of the month.
