Cooper S wiring harness plugs

I'm looking for information about who makes the Cooper S wiring harness, and where i can source the plug (male and female) that connects the harnesses to the ECU. Hopefully MINIGUY or someone in the know can help me out. THANKS.

It is an AMP connector. You might be able to call them up and get some samples of them if you can get the part number. I have gotten tons of free ecu connectors from them for subarus for engine managment projects.
hope that helps.

I had told them that i needed them as prototypes for something and that i was going to be buying many more in the future. They also told me that i needed about $2500 to order them.

the only way is to request samples. those they are free with. you don't even need to tell them you are considering buying!

i tried to go the sample route. The problem is that the part isnt stocked in the "sample room" and i'd need to have my salesman call the local rep and file the appropriate paperwork to get the part sampled. I dont do alot of electronics R&D at work so i dont even know who my Tyco connector rep is. Even if I succeeded, they only make the female end, i have no idea who makes the male end

OK. So it looks like the harness is made by Draexlmaier. Not that anyone cares, but maybe someday someone will and they're know where to look.

The harness is provided as a complete part by a company called Draexlmaier GB.

Try here for their website:-

http://www.draexlmaier.de/com/prod/eldaim.html

There is a link at the bottom left for BMW related information.
Hope they can help you.

All the best.
