Talking Wait time for my MINI S = 2 days

Yes, it's true.

The local dealer has very little stock. So I called a dealer three hours away, and he had exactly what I wanted -- color, configuration -- everything. Put a hold on the car on Wednesday, and picked it up Friday.

What a joy the three hour drive was back home yesterday.

2 Day Wait

Geoff,

I drive from Columbus, Ohio to or through Ann Arbor often on business. It's a 3 hour run. Did you get your MCS from MAG in Dublin, Ohio? I got mine last month in one day from MAG as they had my optimal combo in stock as well. Did you pay Sticker? They were asking $1500 over but I only paid sticker after a quick negotiation. You are already 200 miles into the break in period! They car gets much better as it breaks in.

Motor On,

Haha.. same here. I waited all of about 18 hours (that doesn't mean I didn't mual over my decision to get a MCS for about 2wks)? You really can't go wrong with the colors the MCS comes in; I liked them all so I wasn't too picky about the color as long as it had a black roof!

I paid sticker. I didn't try to dicker with them since I had heard rumors of people paying over MSRP. So when he sent me the quote via fax I just signed it and sent it back.

You lucky bas''##d !

Itīs good to kow that some of us donīt have to wait as long as others.

I still have some 80 plus minus 20 days for my new family members arrival.

Well what can I say I hope it really will be worth the long waiting time.

But when she arrives I will take here out on a spin open the sun roof just a little bit, put my shades on and listen to good music and enjoy!!

Hopefully I will have some time after the Icehockey World Championships (in may which are held in our country this year) and take her for a spin around Euorpe and get the Works power uprgrade installed.

Oh Ps A friend of my wife is getting married this summer and they have already asked the "S" for their wedding car.

Iīm not sure if Ihave to kindly refuse I dont want people throwing rice into my car

You are one lucky Dog!!! Woof Woof!

For those of you who can find your color and your options sitting at a dealer - I am pea green with envy! Like, what's the chance of that? They say of 100,000 cars MINI makes - only 15% have an exact perfect twin car!!! So for you to find your dream car waiting for you at the dealer means it was meant to be!!!

Please post photos of your car !! It sounds great! The yellow body and white contrasting roof is a great color combo!

Here's a photo from the dealer's driveway before I drove off on Friday. (It was a very overcast day so it's not a very lively phote.)
