I can see ths one's got the public excited!

Just wondering how people think these look, because I am wondering if a chrome grill is worth adding to the S.

Not in red

Paul,

I'm a big fan of chrome grills on the S, but I voted for body color in this instance. I think on the red it doesn't work as well. For the red, I really like the black Aero grills, and as I'm sure you know, you can put just the aero grills on a standard S bumper with a little modification.

Now, on Dark Silver, Pure Silver, BRG, and especially Indigo Blue and Black, I LOVE the chrome grill on the S.

See ya,
JS

Definitely Chrome for me although, I must admit, in Red it looks equally good in body color. So, as someone else said, it really depends on the color of the car.

Does anyone have a picture of a BRG MCS with Chrome Grill?

Yep, actually on a red S, I think the body colour looks best, I just dont know how I feel about the chrome grille on an S, even though I am a big fan of chrome, its beginning to just not look right to me.......can I say this?...............(Might make the car look like a Cooper with an S bonnet!)...........

You should leave it as it is. The Cooper S looks great as it is!

Here, here.

It's like the golf advert where they get so upset with all the bonnet bulges, large spoilers etc. being added to their cars that the head lights shed a tear.

I reckon the fitting of MINI products is fine, but when you start spraying all the black plastic the same as the body colour it all gets a bit cheesy.

My opinion.

Cheers,
EB MINI.

I think it depends on the colour of the car. That red S looks good with the red grill but then so does the chrome one

With a black or indi blue S fitting a chrome grill would really set it off as it gives a bit of contrast at the front.

There's a similar thing with the ONE which of course comes with a black grill. I like the contrast on my Silver car but if I had a dark coloured car I'd probably change it for chrome.

Would be great of the factory could offer this as an option.

My wife disagrees

Paul,

I showed it to my wife, and she liked the chrome better.

Like vanilla and chocolate, it's a very individual choice.

Which way are you leaning?

(oh, BTW, I definitely think chrome grills should be an option on the S)

See ya,

I like them equally.

When I got my S, I thought I would do the Chrome grille, but I think the driving lamps put enough chrome up front. If I didn't have them, I would go for the chrome grille though.

MINE!! on 10/18/02 - IB/W Cooper S, White Bonnet Stripes, Premium - Sport - Cold, Lapis Blue interior, Nav, Rally Lamps, 17" White Spokes. Wouldn't change a thing....

I like the S-Grill (fewer slats) but in chrome. A MINI2 Member did this to his car. Where's the option for that?

front options

I tend to lean towards the chrome grill. I think takes some of the bulk away from the bonnet and makes the MCS's front look more like the cleaner cooper's front, if you know what I mean.

I am considering dropping the stripes from my order to get the chrome grill option that will hopefully be available in March. However this will take some time convincing my dealer that it actually will be possible.

Chrome makes it look too much like a Cooper.

Love the S as it is.

Thumbs up chrome grille

I went for the chrome grille on my IB/W S. I think it should be a factory option.
