May as well bore you all, but I collected the E/B & White (Chilli Pack) MCS yesterday from Scotland, and within 5 minutes off having the car someone at the petrol station had made me an offer. Never happens with the Mondeo diesel -can't think why not.
There followed a wonderful 250 mile journey back south to Yorkshire, bringing the Mini over the border back to it's spiritual homeland. I noticed that woman in other cars kept looking my way, I'm not sure if it was the funkiest looking car on the road they were checking out or me. My 12 year old suggested it was the former.
We kept to 75 (so many speed cameras & bedding the engine in etc), and for those of you interested I returned 35 MPG if my calculations are correct. Not bad going I thought, but no doubt when I get to put the car through it's paces that'll fall considerably.
I live on a small close, so curtains twitched this morning as I washed the car. This afternoon I had the petrol heads among the neighbours quiuing up for the thrill of listening to the wine of the supercharger, pop pop of the exhaust & if they were lucky a spin around the country lanes.
Gotta go - meal on the table, will bore you all at a later date.

I know exactly how you feel, though I've only managed 150 miles so far. Best car I've ever had!

Good one Steve, enjoy it! Don't wanna ruin your expectations, but that 35 mpg....it's gonna drop.........bad....

BTW that offer at the gas station, was that coming from 'women in other cars' also? If it were, can you please share with us what they exactly offered you??
