Talking MCS ownership starts here!

Folks,

Quite hard to believe but less than 3 weeks ago I had'nt even considered a Mini and now after reading this forum and taking one for a couple of test drives I ordered my MCS on Sunday. The car does have a strange effect on you; I was smiling all the way on the testdrive. The only problem is I've got to wait till September 1st to get my hands on it. A pain but gives me chance to save for my options...

I've gone for:

Dark Silver/White Roof
17" Alloys
Trip Computer
MFSW
Foglights
Storage Pack
Mats
TLC
Stereo TBC

Having never owned a Mini before, another thing that persuded me was the camaraderie of people on this board and other Mini owners. Although my current/old car (Fiesta Zetec S) had sites dedicated to it, they just didnt have the spirit of this site or Mini drivers. I can't wait to go on meets.

Any tips on making this long haul go faster: Do I read Mini2 everyday or try and forget about Mini until the big day arrives?

Keep up the good work

Cheers

Greg

Hey minimee,

Welcome the club !

So you have caught the MINI virus too ay . Once you saw and drove one, there's no point of return .

I have one on order too, mine is coming somewhere in june. You could try to forget about this site or the MINI until it arrives, but I give you no chance in succeeding .
Just stick around here, and you will notice it will make the wait easier......or not LOL.
Never mind, just stick around

M

Welcome!

Do visit the forums. It will help pass the time, and make the wait harder at the same time.

Its a great group of folks here and a great car to look forward too. Besides the delayed gratification helps built character.

Having to wait until september will give you plenty of time to change your spec every week
Shame you couldn't get a black roof, were they all sold out

Stick here and read up on your new car - by the time it arrives you'll know more about it than your dealer!!

yes - changing spec every other week seems to be a common trait - I drove my dealer nuts!

England 36 hours to go!

I am like a kid waiting for Christmas!

Doesn't help when the dealer emails you and tells you how great your car looks!

Welcome. The time will fly past. The aim here is to know more than the dealer....which usually isn't too hard
