Has anyone heard of comfort opening with the sunroof on the MCS? What is this??

its when you hold the "open" button on the key for 5 seconds I think... opens both windows and sunroof fully... so when you walk up to the car on a sunny UK day ( not many of them !!) by the time you get in all windows & roof are open...

But does that not open the boot? On my MCS if you do that the boot opens but then mine is a '02(53) model and things could have changed.

Hello,

This has been discussed a great deal in the past, and is also featured in the following FAQ: What 'memory' options can be programmed into my MINI? A search for comfort will also provide you with a lot of information.

It USED be standard that holding the unlock opened (or unlatched) the boot, now it's comfort opening. However, you can switch between both on most cars, your dealer can programme these options (see afore mentioned FAQ).
