Offline | FFOP, The Dutch spec sheet certainly does indicate that you won't be getting SSP+ or sports seating. That's no good. I assume that some one at BMW/MINI has stuffed up in preparing the brochure. It's not the first time. I mean you didn't even mention the 6 speed Getrag box as being one of the main differences between Cooper and Cooper 'S'. However, if all of these things are correct, then you guys are being screwed badly. Nevertheless, I'd write to BMW/MINI immediately and get confirmation. |

Offline | Good grief. I'm stunned. If the "S" specs here looked like that, and it was still $39,900, I would not bother buying the S and would have bought a Cooper. As a percentage, how much more is the S compared to the Cooper ?. In oz it's about 23%. When you add up the options (that we currently know of) that the S comes with here and add them to the Cooper, we get very close to getting the Bodykit and the Supercharged Engine for nothing. |

Offline | In the Netherlands there are still no official prices from the Cooper S but rumors are that the S is about 45% more than the Cooper Roy Driven the Cooper S, like it a lot but not too much to waste my money so I bought a Corolla T-sport, which isn't reliable at all. Must I keep it or buy the new Peugeot 206 RC....? |

Offline | Blimey, well either your Coopers come with bugger all, or your Cooper S will need to be VERY highly specified. Thats a HUGE price difference. The Australian version of the S appears to be an absolute bargain at $39,900 + ORC. (About $43,000AU) |

Offline | Re: Dutch Cooper S specs I cant advise you not to lose faith M, because I have myself. But your one of the top 10 advocates of the S here. Be a shame to lose you to to one of those Type R family wagons...... I'm amazed you like the shape.....too narrow, too tall. The Integra Type R has gone the same way. Honda lost the plot when they dumped the front wishbone suspension and went the way of struts. And all for the bean counters. Anyway, If someone hasn't done it already, I'm going to start a new thread just for you family wagon types. ![]() |

Offline | Re: Re: Dutch Cooper S specs It's the same size as the Cooper s (width and height/1,69 m and 1,42 m)), only its longer (4,14 m {Type-R} and 3,66 m {Cooper S}. And you don't get the rediculous long list of faults and niggles, it's cheaper, faster and just as exclusive (limited edition). And you get 17 inch alloys and these seats (recaro's with alcantara trim) for standard: and these as an option: Have you seen the list of people who are rejecting their cars as being a really bad product? Are you going to pay such an amount of money for a car you get really sick of? I don't want a car with self opening doors and sunroof etc. when I go shopping in the city! ![]() Last edited by OnlyS4me : Jan 3rd, 2002 at 04:12 AM. |

Offline | Re: Re: Re: Dutch Cooper S specs M, I know, I know, I KNOW......... the whole MINI thing is turning into a complete debacle. It was my Faith in BMW that kept my order for the S in place. Unless BMW go public with the problems, and I now believe this is the ONLY way to address the issues with current and potential owners, I am giving them until Oxford request my build sheet (which will probably be April) to come clean. If this does not happen, and my dealer remains "in denial" my faith in, and my order with BMW for that lovely little car will be cancelled. |
