How long are people having to wait to get their Cooper S? Has anyone put in an order in the last few weeks?

Hi Rusty,

I went to place an order for a Cooper S on Saturday and was told to expect delivery during August (I was going to wait until Sept 1 for new plate).

But I was v.lucky....a cancelled order was available so I'm collecting my Cooper S, DS/W, Chili Pack on Thursday this week!

Ordered mine three weeks ago, many dealers around my area could only manage an October delivery, but Sytner in Gerrards Cross have mine on order for the 14th July (20th once it's PDI'd).

Have already posted asking about the reality of this date, as many other people in the UK seem to be waiting MUCH longer.

We shall see, roll on the 20th.

Ordered my MCS on April 5th in Orlando, Florida and waiting on it to be shipped from Charleston SC. It was unloaded off the Tosca on 6/1/03.

I ordered my car (Red/Red MCS) July 23 2002; at Long Beach MINI, in Los Angeles, California.

Just checked a few minutes ago (MINI Order Tracking), and found that my car is "Scheduled for Production". It had been "On Order" for the past three weeks, with an anticipated build date of June 13. It looks like they are running a little ahead of schedule.

At this rate, I expect to take delivery of my car almost exactly ONE YEAR from the date of telling them "I want to buy a MINI Cooper S; right now!"

(it's a good thing I didn't NEED the car immediately...

)

I ordered my black MCS on April 4th with an expected delivery date of 7th July. The salesperson has just called me up to confirm the options. I asked him about putting a personalised plate on so the MCS would be ready to go when I picked her up on the 7th. Apparently, that adds another week or so onto the delivery date. Boo hoo.

Mine took 6 weeks from date of order in mid feb 03. Bought from Halliwell Jones in Warrington. Local Berkshire dealers were quoting 5-6 Months at the time.
