Offline | Finally. Now I can't keep on spending money by adding more options! This is what it ended up as. MCS Chili Red with White Roof Chili Pack - Black Half Leather MFSW Sunroof Sat Nav CD First-Aid Kit and Triangle Chrome Pack Should be delivered on the 14th July. The best thing is that I finish my current contract on the 26th of this month and then my wife and I are off to the US until the 16th July. So this means that the final couple of weeks before it turns up will be bearable as I will be distracted!! ![]() I wonder if I will even go home to my house when we get back before I run (the dealer is about 10 minutes walk from my house) down to the dealer!! ![]() ![]() Jeb CR/W Cooper S - It has arrived!! |

Offline | jebjeb, it would be really nice to go with you guys to the F1 race event at Hockenheim...but I won't be here at Heidelberg by then, cuz I'll be in Spain vacationing and getting some tan. Sorry!Good thing is, I'll take my Mini with me and I will put "a few" miles on it (at least 3,500 in just 3 weeks! ), so its going to be fun.My MCS will be here next Friday, , but I won't be able to drive it 'till the 1st of July (you know, the whole 9 yards: paperwork/tax relief forms/registration/insurance/bla bla bla...).Here's my Spec, and like I said, is very close to yours! -MCS Chili Red/White roof/White wheels/White stripes -Harman Kardon -Satellite Navigation System -Sport Pkg: Xenons/17" S-Spokes/headlights Power wash/fog lights and DSC. -...and the 210bhp Digi-Tec conversion as soon as I come back from Spain and I break-in the engine the right way. The funny thing is that I first ordered my mini in DS/W, because my wife already has a CR/W MCS, so I wanted something different, but after noticing that 80% of all the MCS in my area are currently Dark silver, then I decided to stick to my favourite color...red. I added the stripes to make it look different from my wife's! Cheers! Sergio ![]() Chili Red/W/W MCS. 05 Mitsubishi Evolution VIII >>> 12.08@114.8mph |

Offline | Nice spec, also very similar to mine. Only one thing I really regret, not getting the MFSW That tiny, tiddly, incy wincy volume control on the CD is the bain of my life. Also would have liked sat nav (don't regret that just too pricey!!!) ![]() |

Offline | Yeah, I heard that MFSW is a very nice option, a MUST! ...and for just $300, I think I should have ordered it! But hey...you can't get everything, right? Sergio ![]() Chili Red/W/W MCS. 05 Mitsubishi Evolution VIII >>> 12.08@114.8mph |

Offline | Hey Sergio rollerfunk! Was that your red MCS I spotted parked outside Billy Blues/Zieglers on Berghiemerstrasse, HD, last night (Monday) about 8ish??? Your MCS profile matches, I noticed it had US forces plates and there aren't many red new Minis of any sort in Heidelberg..... Just asking! My IB MCS arrives in 34 days and counting, and the waiting is driving me nuts!! Chris Last edited by roomey : Jun 17th, 2003 at 05:45 PM. |

Offline | Hi Chris! The red MCS that you saw yesterday was probably my wife's. I know that for sure because she likes to hang around in that area. ...and I know what you're going through with your Mini...those eternal weeks/months...waiting...waiting... I ordered mine at the end of April. The car was built 1 week ago and it will be here this friday, but I won't be able to drive it until July 1st...remember, for us US service members stationed here in Europe, once we hand the $$$check to "Pentagon Car Sales", it takes 10 working days to get all the paperwork straight, thus the bill of sale. So...your Mini will be IB....NICE COLOR! Did you get a white, black or IB roof? What about the options? Let me know! Sergio ![]() Chili Red/W/W MCS. 05 Mitsubishi Evolution VIII >>> 12.08@114.8mph |

Offline | Well, Sergio, I hope you have a great time down in Spain! Sadly I will have to share my MCS with my wife ![]() ![]() I had to have the MFSW mainly for the cruise control. A lot of people here in the UK think it is a pointless option but I think is is even more important here than it is in Australia. I call it the license preserver! Yeah, maybe the motorways and such are conjested here, but when I am on a dual carriageway that is straight and smooth but only 50 or 60mph then I really appreciate being able to set the cruise and, errrr, cruise ( ) along! Well worth the couple of hundred quid.Looking forward to driving through Germany quite a bit. My wife used to work at a winery in Trier (on the Mosel). Some great roads around there. Plus some great wine. Hmmm, I wonder how much wine I can fit in the boot.... ![]() CR/W Cooper S - It has arrived!! |

Offline | jebjeb, I hope you have too a great time on your vacation here in Germany. Heidelberg is a wonderful little town, really gorgeous, and there's plenty of things to do here. About the MFSW, I reckon that I shoud have get it. I'm going back to the U.S. next October and cruise control is very, very useful over there. My last car was a Mitsubishi 3000GT and it had a cruise control that worked pretty good. I guess that I will miss this feature! Oh...and a final reminder, Autobahns have some stretches with NO speed limit Have fun, drive safe and enjoy your Mini!![]() Chili Red/W/W MCS. 05 Mitsubishi Evolution VIII >>> 12.08@114.8mph |
