Offline | How to Buy a Car? I have a feeling that a Mini will be my first car. I have a couple of questions before making that leap: Do I call my insurance company to get that documentation first? or Do I purchase the car, leave it on the dealer's lot and wait for the insurance to register the car? or what else? I'm going to build my Mini and send it to my preferred dealer, so it'll take months I expect. |

| Let's Motor. | I'd probably first check with your insurance company. If you're looking for a dealership and you are in the Toronto area, I highly recommend Mini Woodbridge, great dealership, and a great bunch of people. I go there all the way from Stoney Creek because I like the place so much. ![]() Adam ![]() P.S. How old are you exactly? |

Offline | I'm twenty-three and-a-half years old. If you're wondering who's going to be the primary purchaser, it'll be me. This will be a gift to myself when I'm off probation as a second-year teacher. |

Offline | First time car buyer. Well,go into the dealership call the insurance company and tell them what you have done. Don't bother looking in the pool to see if there is any water, just dive in and enjoy the experience. Then come to the meets in toronto. www.somc.on.ca we are having a BBQ soon you are more than welcome to attend. Details at the web site I have provided.Charles BRG/W MCS |

Offline | Hey, thanks everyone for the advice. I'm going to the Mini Test Fly this coming Sunday at Downsview. I'm so looking forward to it. I've seen by my count approximately 10 Minis over the past year. I really hope I can hone my stick-shift skills enough to buy a MCS. I'm thinking of getting the aero package, Sport package and perhaps those "Y-shaped" wheels. They look funky. Now the hard things are the colours: Electric Blue/white roof, Dark Silver/Black roof, Lighter Silver/Black roof PS: are there websites where Mini owners have posted their colour combos? I'd love to see all the possibilities in various lighting conditions. |

| Let's Motor. | Sounds like its going to be a nice MCS. Make sure you go with the Electric Blue/White combo or it won't be anything special! ![]() Theres many posts around Mini2 of people posting pictures of there cars. Actually, I made a thread in the General Discussion forum for an Electric Blue showcase if you wanna check that out, I'll get you the link. ![]() Adam ![]() |
