Talking I saw my S!

I went to my dealership last night and found out my car was in

Had a good look around it in the workshop (parked between 2 Z4's ) and I was really impressed with it. The quality of leather seems much better than I remember it in the demonstrator of which I drove way back in December... and the smell...mmmm just love that new car + leather smell.

I would go as far to say that the leather on the car is just as good as the leather my father has in his M3, its really that good

The new sporty steering wheel is also very nice and chunky! All in all it feels a very plush car. I even commented on the valour floor mats, and the bmw guy said to me "oh they havent been put in yet, thats just the carpet". Blimey I thought, I think I could move into my Mini and live in it

The car is ready to pick up tomorrow, but I'm having to wait until Thursday as my insurance won't arrive until then. Needless to say that I can do very little at the moment at work as I just keep thinking "Mini, mini, mini, mini..." you know the score

Only real surprise was that I don't seem to have the DVD nav system, looks like its the CD based one. Mind you, that is going from the nav cd booklet where it states "insert the cd-rom". So it might be the DVD system, guess I'll have to wait and see.

Come on Thursday, hurry up

Tony,

It's not a Works S yet, but will be very soon. Basically my kit has been delayed so I was asked if I wanted the car for Thursday, or wait possibly a month or so for the kit. Of course I chose to take the car on Thursday

The way I see it, I won't get to use the full potential of the Works kit when running it in anyway. Also, I'm going to hold on and get the Works Kit and Works seats installed all at the same time, so this gives me another thing to look forward to

/me looks at watch - not long now

Congrats!

Let us know about the Sat Nav. My car's arriving 14th July and I made a point of saying I wanted the DVD Sat Nav back in March but they basically said I'd get whatever was standard when it was built. Fingers crossed it's just the manual that hasn't been updated.

I'll have two sports seats (all black trim) sitting in my garage, did you want them?

Going to pick the car up at 12:30 on Thursday, but have to be back in work in the afternoon I know I won't be doing much work in the morning, but the afternoon....I'll be looking at my watch all the time to go and play with my Mini

Chris, I have sent you an email about those seats, bet they are 10x better than the standard ones I got, I have regretted that decision since buying the car!

I would love to offer them a welcome home

Hehe SMG, I didn't think the Elise would fit on the Mini. So close to swaping my Elise over now for my new MCS I don't think I'm going to sleep much tonight

SMG, what is going on with your bonnet? Is that carbon fibre or something, or just a trick of the light???

Details, or where i can find them, would be good....
