Just back from my first proper long drive on roads I am very familiar with - allows me to make good comparisons.

Firstly - has anyone noticed the clutch footrest being set too far towards bulkhead ? Not much use to me. Can it be adjusted ?

Best thing was carrying too much speed into the last of a series of medium corners and having oversteer - excellent !

Overall:

- plenty of poke if you are in the right gear, pretty tardy of you are not
- 3rd/4th my favourite combination (although 4000rpm in 6th is quiet !)
- steering is so direct - I'm still getting used to it
- stay of the big roads and go on the B roads - great fun
- Great economy out of town - better than I expected.
- Can't get used to cruise control - prefer its switched off.
