JCWs Kit Factory Fit or Dealer fit what route would you go if you had a choice.!!

Yes I know another poll.

After seeing the different costs we have to pay to have either Cooper Works kit or the Cooper S Works kit fitted to our MINIs.

3 Reasons for doing this.

1..Would be cheaper as theres no dealer labour charges.

2..The cost of the kit with fitting from the factory would be the same around the world apart from the sales tax.

3..Could possibly make it more of a popular option than it already is.

Factory - a rebate for the unused head / charger should make it cheaper too.......

Would always be cheaper at the factory, but I'm not so sure that is their intent. Unless maybe down the line they'll do that and JCW has an even more powerful option.

I would prefer factory fitting and - in fact - a refund on parts.

Hence in Holland we have this addition tax on all factory fitted parts (and accessories) so at the end it would be more expensive.

very "Works".

Dinger no offense but this has to be the dumbest polls since polls were invented.

Of course people would rather their Works Kit factory fitted, for the simple fact that it would be cheaper. For a start you wouldn't have to pay labour charges.

You don't need a poll to tell you that.

But if enough people showed an interest in the fact that they would prefer the kit fitted when the car is being built rather than paying over the odds at the dealers then perhaps MINI would sit up and listen to what people want and allow them to be fitted on the factory production line.

Dumb maybe maybe not.!

PS,If all the MINI dealers were charge the same amount to fit this kit as John Cooper Garages then this poll would not even exist.

Factory fit or course

At least that way my insurers will be happy as they don't allow aftermarket fittings

It should either be factory or JCG only...Some of the dealers are having a larf with the prices they are charging for fitting......

just make sure if you are getting it done by the dealer you insist you pay £3574 for it fitted.....

I would have ordered mine straight from the factory (w/ the Works kit that is) had it been available .

It should be factory fitted and make it a £1500 option when you buy a chilli pack or something as most buy chilli anyway I would defo spend the extra £1500!

Seems so silly to build a brand new engine and then strip it down AND remove a new exhaust after delivery, its just plain daft. It went through 'BMW world approval' so why can't it be done as another option at the factory.

Thats what I think anyway
