Andy, you're stuck here until I can figure out how to get Sean Connery floating upside-down in his fish bowl.

Hey Paul, any news on painted dashes? I really want a BRG dash but I'm afraid the 3 piece is the only one that's going to be available.

i doubt they'll be retro fitable puck

as the current airbag deploys from the front and the new one comes out of the top. therefore the 3 piece won't have the facility to accomodate the airbag deployment.

I wasn't thinking of fitting a 3 piece, just hoping that a painted 5 piece would be available sometime.

all I need is a supercharger kit for my Cooper and I'd not get an 05

seemed like it was not necessary to take off the top part

it was something like you undo the torx screws above (and below?) the speedo and the panel swings down, trim assembly and all

might have been on NAM after I stormed out

You can do it exactly as I did but without removing the top dash rail, but you might (MIGHT) lose some clips into the dash if you cant see them (the clips that hold in the two torx screws above the speedo).

It's not worth saving a minute to spend time looking for lost clips if you ask me!

Not that I did (I'd imagine the risky time would be when removing the tacho).

And not that I would know, but it could take some time to persuade said item to come out again!

Not really, not if you manage to turn and brake hard on a down hill bend/corner and catch said part from behind the dash. I'd imagine that would require long arms and a few attampts though!
