Whoops, didn't read far enough ahead.

Brand though, please? Where'd you get 'em, who makes 'em? That sort of thing...

I think you are right about that MB..I kinda wish MINI offered like 20 or 30 colors so that any choice would be more rare.. but at least it will be an S-only color which cuts down on numbers. I was going CR until I laid eyes on HB.

Aiden, if you get a creaky dash, you might have over tightened some of the torx screws (maybe the side ones).

Just a thought.

Not that I'd do such a thing of course.

Should be ready for me next Wednesday or Thursday, and I'll pick it up on Saturday. MA wouldn't schedule an appointment because she said, "They don't always make it here unscathed, and sometimes we have to repaint something." At which time I nearly pulled an Aiden and told her I don't want it. But I figured I'd at least find out if it's damaged before I do that.

Not the best of experiences from a dealer. I've given them plenty of opportunities, but they don't seem particularly interested in making me a happy customer. So far all I have to show for it is, well, nothing. Not even a discount on R90s or a trade-in for my S-Lites (but now I have the IJ R90s on the way... ). All this despite the fact that they screwed up my order and it only got fixed because I called them about 10 times and didn't believe them when they kept telling me it would be okay--until they realized that the reason they couldn't find my order was because they hadn't placed it.

It'll all be okay next weekend when I have my MINI, though.

That would look very very cool......

There's someone on here who did that with an EB mini. I can't remember her name but she's the one who makes the spare tire covers. I'm sure you'd find her if you search for that.

Jersey Girl's dash is what started me thinking about it in the first place. Totally sexy look (The car, in case Gail asks). What ever happened to her? I haven't seen a posting in ages, but then maybe I'm just in all the wrong places.

I know it could be done, but I don't much fancy pulling my whole dash and not having a car until it's done and back in. I suppose it might vary well be driveable without a dash, but...

Maybe if I could ome up with a used dash assembly for not too much money, have that painted and then swap them out.

Seems like you might be able to find a dash from a totaled car at a wrecker's.
